Our Expertise Areas

Foundational Literacy & Numeracy

At Antar Foundation, we specialize in fostering early literacy and numeracy skills, guided by the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and National  curriculum framework for foundational stage, 2022.
Our expertise lies in providing comprehensive programs that prioritize Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), aligning with the objectives outlined in NEP 2020. We understand the critical role of early literacy and numeracy in laying a strong educational foundation for children, and our initiatives are tailored to address these fundamental skills from the outset.
Furthermore, our commitment to SDG4 drives our efforts to ensure equitable access to quality education for all children, focusing on literacy and numeracy as key components of this agenda. Through our FLN programs, we aim to narrow educational disparities and empower every child to succeed academically and beyond.

Social Emotional Learning

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. At Antar Foundation, we are deeply committed to developing the social and emotional skills of children. Our expertise in this vital area is built on years of dedicated work, research, and hands-on experience in the education sector. In collaboration with various organizations, we primarily follow the CASEL framework, which includes five key components: self-awareness, social awareness, self-management, relationship building, and effective decision-making. As part of our efforts to integrate SEL into our programs, we have focused on the following areas:

Curriculum Integration: We integrate SEL into the foundational stage and educational interventions based on the FLN guidelines and the NCF-FS, 2023. Through our efforts, we have developed activities that seamlessly incorporates SEL into daily classroom activities.
Teacher Training and Support: We believe that well-trained educators are essential for successful SEL implementation. Our extensive training programs equip teachers with the skills and resources they need to effectively teach SEL. We provide continuous support and professional development to ensure sustained success. We have conducted various workshops for teachers and facilitators and developed resources, including teacher guides and training modules.

Parental Involvement: Parents play a crucial role in reinforcing SEL at home. We offer workshops and resources to help parents understand SEL and support their children’s social and emotional development. Our team has also developed parent guides for this purpose.

Evidence-Based Practices: Our SEL programs are grounded in evidence-based practices. We continuously evaluate and refine our approaches based on the latest research and feedback from our participants.

Creating a Positive School Climate: Beyond the classroom, we work to create a school environment that supports social and emotional growth. This includes policies and practices that promote safety, respect, and inclusion.

Gender & Life Skills

Children Literature

Children’s literature plays a crucial role in the cognitive and emotional development of children. It stimulates imagination, enhances vocabulary, and improves comprehension skills. Through engaging stories, children learn about different cultures, perspectives, and moral values, which helps them develop empathy and critical thinking.

Our expertise in this area is rooted in years of dedicated work, research, and practical experience in the education sector. By integrating high-quality children’s literature into our programs, we aim to foster a love for reading and enhance the literacy skills of young learners. Our team includes established writers and experienced educators who specialize in creating and using children’s literature in the classroom. Our efforts focus on the following areas:

Curated Book Collections: We carefully curate collections of age-appropriate and culturally relevant books, covering a diverse range of genres and themes. We have also used different systems to classify the books based on the skill levels and to match these skill levels to the appropriate books while assessing the skill levels of the children.

Library Development: We are committed to creating and enhancing school libraries, providing children access to a wide variety of books. Our initiatives include developing library manuals, training modules for teachers and children, and training librarians to create engaging reading environments.

We believe that a quality translation is  where the meaning, tone, and subtitles of the original text are conveyed to the reader ensuring it is culturally appropriate and easily comprehensible in the target language. This process demands a thorough understanding of both languages and their contexts, preserving the original message’s integrity and intent. Essential traits of a good translation include clarity, coherence, cultural relevance, and linguistic precision, ensuring the message effectively reaches and impacts the intended audience.
At Antar foundation we have been doing translations from both English to Hindi and Hindi to English of various kinds of learning material including modules, manuals, resource books, reports, articles, policy documents etc. for different national and international organizations.
